Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 August 2026.

These terms govern your use of the x.com side of MediaWipeTool, at x.mediawipetool.com. There is no account here and nothing to sign, so using the site is how you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Our Reddit tool at mediawipetool.com is a separate service with its own terms.

What the service does

It names third parties that hold copies of x.com content, gives you links to check each one yourself, and prepares the text of a removal request for you to send. It looks nothing up on your behalf and contacts nobody. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp.

It does not remove anything, and cannot promise removal

MediaWipeTool prepares requests. It does not remove content itself, and it cannot guarantee that any service will act. Each one is run by a separate third party who decides whether to honour a request and may decline. You send every request yourself; this site never submits anything on your behalf.

It does not tell you what anyone holds

This site performs no search and reports no findings. The services listed are shown to everyone, whether or not any of them holds anything of yours. A service appearing here is not a statement that your content is in it, and a service being absent is not a statement that it is not.

Not legal advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice. The requests we prepare are a convenience, not a legal instrument, and using them does not create any professional relationship. If you need legal advice, consult a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.

Deleting things is your decision, and it is permanent

This site advises deleting content at the source, because for X that removes more than filing does. That advice is general and we know nothing about your situation. Deletion is irreversible, deleting an X account is more irreversible still, and both are your decision alone. If the content might matter as evidence in a legal or safety matter, get advice before you delete it.

Who may use it, and how

Third-party services

Every service named on this site is operated by other people. We do not control them, are not responsible for them, and receive nothing from them. Their terms, their privacy practices and their decisions are their own. We check the removal routes we publish and record when we last did so, but a route can change or stop working without notice.

Donations

MediaWipeTool is free to use. Donations are voluntary, buy no goods or services, and unlock nothing. There is no account on this site, so there is nothing a donation could be credited to. They help cover the cost of running the server.

No warranty

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the list of services is complete, that a removal route still works, that anyone will respond, or that any content will be removed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MediaWipeTool and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including any decision you make about your X account or its content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about these terms or the service that goes to court will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we both agree to those courts. If the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be taken away by agreement, such as consumer protections, those rights still apply to you.
